Regular Season Round 3: Aabyhoj - Horsholm 63-75

Horsholm (3-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat Aabyhoj (1-2) 75-63. The game was mostly controlled by Horsholm. Aabyhoj managed to win third quarter 31-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsholm dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Aabyhoj's 28. They outrebounded Aabyhoj 44-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. Horsholm looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a quality performance for Canadian forward Meg Wilson (188-94, college: Simon Fraser) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Layne Murphy (185-94, college: Chicago St.) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Malene Pedersen (180-1) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds and international guard Ida Krogh (181-91, college: Nova SE) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Aabyhoj in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Horsholm will meet at home Herlev (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Aabyhoj will play against Lemvig and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
