No shocking result in a game when second ranked Goetting.ASC (6-1) crushed 13th ranked ETV (2-6) in Goettingen 100-80 on Saturday. Goetting.ASC had a 34-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for swingman Nick Boakye (197-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Swingman Jorge Schmidt (193-85) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Goetting.ASC players scored in double figures. Goetting.ASC's coach Sebastian Foerster used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Lithuanian guard Vidmantas Uzkuraitis (189-85) answered with 24 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Tyseem Lyles (188, college: Mercy) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for ETV. Goetting.ASC maintains second place in North with 6-1 record behind leader Wolmirstedt, which they share with Stahnsdorf. Newly promoted ETV dropped to the fourteenth position with six games lost. Goetting.ASC will face Westerstede (#13) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. ETV's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Hamburg Bergedorf.
