American forward Hannah Green (183-95, college: Illinois St.) nailed 8 points and 19 rebounds for the winning side and international power forward Rosinha Rosario (182-89, college: Gulf Coast CC) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds. American Treyvonna Brooks (185-94, college: Tenn Tech) came up with 11 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Ines Faustino (170-92) added 15 points respectively for Carnide in the defeat. Carnide's coach Luis Abreu rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Benfica moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Carnide. Benfica will play against league's leader Lombos Quinta in Carcavelos in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Carnide will play on the road against GDESSA (#4) in Barreiro and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
