Regular Season Round 5: Bakken - Stevnsgade 102-78

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Bakken as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Bakken smashed 4th placed Stevnsgade in Risskov 102-78. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Stevnsgade's 36. They outrebounded Stevnsgade 50-33 including 18 on the offensive glass. Bakken looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Jamaican-British forward Ryan Martin (206-91, college: Tenn Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Sylvester Berg (201-98) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. FYR Macedonian guard Boris Vukicevic (190-98) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds and Stefan Jevric (202-98) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bakken (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Svendborg. Stevnsgade at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Stevnsgade will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Bakken will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Naestved at home.
