The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked BBC Bayreuth (2-2) 73-69 on Sunday. They outrebounded BBC Bayreuth 39-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. American forward Perry Ellis (203-93, college: Kansas) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. British center Gabriel Olaseni (211-91, college: Iowa) contributed with 6 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. s Oliver Baskets' coach Denis Wucherer used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Hassan Martin (201-95, college: Rhode Island) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import forward DeMon Brooks (202-92, college: Davidson) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for BBC Bayreuth. s Oliver Baskets (1-3) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Fraport SKY. BBC Bayreuth at the other side keeps the eighth position with two games lost. They share it with Jena. s Oliver Baskets is looking forward to face higher ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (#10) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
