Regular Season Round 4: Banvit - Istanbul BBSK 95-64

U19 League top team - Banvit (4-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Istanbul BBSK (1-3) 95-64. Banvit forced 19 Istanbul BBSK turnovers and outrebounded them 40-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Istanbul BBSK's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Banvit made 7 blocks. It was a very good performance for power forward Alperen Sengun (205-2) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Arda Cete (192-1) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Banvit players scored in double figures. Ogulcan Koc (-0) replied with 13 points and 7 assists and Hakan Destanoglu (-1) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Istanbul BBSK. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Banvit have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Darussafaka and Fenerbahce. Loser Istanbul BBSK keeps the seventh place with three games lost. Banvit will face Besiktas (#5) in Istanbul in the next round. Istanbul BBSK will play against Gaziantep and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
