Regular Season Round 6: OrangeAcademy - Fraport SKY II 54-86

There was no surprise in Ulm where 5th ranked OrangeAcademy (3-3) was crushed by top-ranked Fraport Skyliners II (6-0) 86-54 on Sunday. Fraport Skyliners II forced 21 OrangeAcademy turnovers and outrebounded them 38-24 including a 26-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard JT Roach (193-95, college: Concordia Irvine) who scored 20 points. Serbian center Armin Trtovac (210-97) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Nicolas Bretzel (212-99) who recorded 13 points and 9 rebounds and Moritz Krimmer (200-0) added 16 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fraport Skyliners II have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of South leader, which they share with Bayer Giants. Loser OrangeAcademy keeps the fifth place with three games lost. Fraport Skyliners II will face Elchingen (#4) on the road in the next round. OrangeAcademy will play against the league's leader Bayer Giants in Leverkusen and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProA just one year after relegation.
