Liga Nationala top team - Sf.Gheorghe (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Cluj Napoca (0-2) 97-65. The game without a history. Sf.Gheorghe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Cluj Napoca's 40. Sf.Gheorghe forced 24 Cluj Napoca turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Cluj Napoca's players. The best player for the winners was American center Kristina Higgins (196-94, college: Baylor) who scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. International guard Ioana Ghizila (173-97) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Sf.Gheorghe players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Arlesia Morse (178-93, college: Marquette) who recorded 24 points and 5 rebounds and international power forward Irina Parau (183-0) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first position in Nationala with 4-0 record. Cluj Napoca at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
