Bottom-ranked Boa Viagem (0-5) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to tenth ranked Vitoria SC (2-4) 75-65 on Sunday evening. Strangely Boa Viagem outrebounded Vitoria SC 43-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. Sara Ressurreicao (170-93) stepped up and scored 28 points and 8 assists for the winners and American forward Leah Somerfield (185-95, college: Oakland) chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Janelle Harrison (183-96, college: Hartford) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import center Kayla Grimme (188-95, college: Manhattan) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Boa Viagem players scored in double figures. Vitoria SC moved-up to ninth place. Boa Viagem at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Vitoria SC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Boa Viagem will play at home against CAB Madeira (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
