Leader Anadolu Efes blasted bottom-ranked Tarsus (0-4) in 102-71 keeping the perfect record after 5 rounds. Tarsus is still unable to win any game. Anadolu Efes dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Tarsus' 36. They outrebounded Tarsus 49-34 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Anadolu Efes players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Forward Mert Camci (202-0) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. Point guard Omer-Can Ilyasoglu (193-1) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Faik Kasikci (-0) answered with 17 points and 5 assists and Mehmet Yilmaz (-0) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Tarsus. Four Anadolu Efes and five Tarsus players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Anadolu Efes. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fenerbahce. Tarsus lost their fourth game in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Anadolu Efes' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Arel Univ.
