The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Duzce Belediye's (3-1) home victory over 9th ranked Edirne (1-3) 82-71 on Friday. Duzce Belediye looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for guard Serhat Ugur (192-85) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 assists. American forward Steve Taylor-Jr (206-93, college: Toledo) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Duzce Belediye players scored in double figures. American center DeAngelo Riley (206-88, college: Azusa Pacific) replied with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Gokturk Ural (196-95) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Edirne. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Duzce Belediye moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Selcuklu and Manisa. Newly promoted Edirne dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Duzce Belediye will face Selcuklu (#6) on the road in the next round. Edirne will play against OGM Orman (#3) and hope to win that game.
