Bottom-ranked Ezerunas is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to twelfth ranked Jonava (4-5) 99-52 on Friday evening. Jonava outrebounded Ezerunas 44-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. American guard Troy Franklin (183-89, college: Coppin St.) nailed 29 points, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and forward Augustinas Jankaitis (205-94) accounted for 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Jonava players scored in double figures. Jonas Zakas (192-97) came up with 14 points and forward Eimantas Narusis (201-86) added 7 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Ezerunas in the defeat. Jonava moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Silute. Ezerunas lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Jonava will meet at home higher ranked Neptunas-Akv. (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ezerunas will play against Telsiai (#10) in Telsiu and hopes to get finally their first victory.
