Regular Season Round 4: P.Olimpija - Primorska 81-61

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Ljubljana. Third ranked P.Olimpija faced one of their biggest challengers Primorska. Host P.Olimpija (3-1) smashed guests from Koper (2-2) 81-61. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. P.Olimpija looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Primorska's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Bosnian swingman Aleksandar Lazic (203-96, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Jan Span (189-92, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 11 points and 7 assists during the contest. Four P.Olimpija players scored in double figures. At the losing side international point guard Zan Mark Sisko (189-97, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Lance Harris (197-84, college: Kansas St.) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. P.Olimpija have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 3-1 record behind leader Rogaska. Loser Primorska keeps the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Sentjur and Zlatorog. P.Olimpija will meet Sencur Gor. (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Primorska will play against Helios Suns (#9) and hope to secure a win.
