Regular Season Round 6: Vaerlose - Wolfpack/BMS 84-109

An interesting game for BMS Skovlunde (2-3) which played road game in Vaerlose against second-best Vaerlose (1-6). First ranked BMS Skovlunde had an easy win 109-84. The game without a history. BMS Skovlunde led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 60.9 percent from the field and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. BMS Skovlunde looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Guard Oliver Stroh (192-94, college: Shippensburg) notched a double-double by scoring 30 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists (perfect from the field making all twelve shots !!!) to lead the effort and American center Deionte Simmons (205-96, college: Chicago St.) supported him with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Five BMS Skovlunde players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 6 rebounds by American forward Richard Granberry (203-93, college: Virginia St.) did not help to save the game for Vaerlose. Forward Victor Hjorth (192-94) added 14 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. BMS Skovlunde maintains first position with 2-3 record. Newly promoted Vaerlose keeps the second place with six games lost. They share the position with EBAA. BMS Skovlunde will meet at home Horsens IC (#4) in the next round. Vaerlose will have a break next round.
