There was no surprise when 12th ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (1-6) lost on the road to seventh ranked Wuerzburg (4-3) 94-82 on Saturday. Wuerzburg made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Dragons Rhoendorf turnovers. Strangely Dragons Rhoendorf outrebounded Wuerzburg 43-27 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Quite impressive performance for Badu Buck (196-99) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 7 assists. American forward Dexter Sienko (198-96, college: Regis Univ.) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Kwan Waller (183-89, college: Ky Wesleyan, agency: Slash Sports) answered with 30 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and Lithuanian center Zygimantas Riauka (205-93, college: Wisc.-Parkside) added 14 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Dragons Rhoendorf. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Wuerzburg moved-up to fifth place in South, which they share with FC Bayern II. Loser Dragons Rhoendorf dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Wuerzburg will face OrangeAcademy (#7) in Ulm in the next round. Dragons Rhoendorf will play on the road against Koeln Rh.Stars (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
