The most interesting game of round 6 was a home defeat of 4th ranked Timberwolves (3-3) by third ranked Gunners Oberwart (4-2) who outscored them by 21 points 86-65 in the game for the third place. The game without a history. Gunners Oberwart led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Timberwolves' 34. They outrebounded Timberwolves 45-27 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gunners Oberwart looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American guard Hayden Lescault (196-92, college: Point Loma) scored 15 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and British center Chris Tawiah (207-93, college: Wiley) chipped in 15 points and 13 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Gunners Oberwart players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian center Marko Kolaric (213-84, college: Chaminade) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Croatian guard Petar Cosic (183-85, agency: Interperformances) scored 5 points and 10 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gunners Oberwart maintains third position with 4-2 record having just two points less than leader Arkadia. Newly promoted Timberwolves keep the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Wels. Gunners Oberwart are looking forward to face Kapfenberg Bulls (#6) at home in the next round. Timberwolves will play against the league's second-placed Gmunden Swans and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
