Regular Season Round 7: Chemnitz - Walter Tigers 104-68

Undefeated leader Chemnitz delivered the seventh consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 13th ranked Walter Tigers (2-5) 104-68. Chemnitz well out of reach of Walter Tigers shooting 102.6 percent from the field. Chemnitz had a 27-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Walter Tigers' players. It was a great evening for guard Malte Ziegenhagen (195-91, college: Keiser) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 6 assists (on 6-of-0 shooting from the field). American forward Kavin Gilder-Tilbury (201-94, college: Texas St.) helped adding 17 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-5 shooting from the field). Four Chemnitz players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Enosch Wolf (215-90, college: Connecticut) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard Reed Timmer (185-95, college: Drake) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chemnitz (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row. Loser Walter Tigers keep the thirteenth position with five games lost. They share it with Karlsruhe PS. Chemnitz will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Walter Tigers will play against Phoenix Hagen (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
