Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Krofdorf and 9th ranked ALBA Berlin had identical 1-4 record. But ALBA Berlin was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Giessen 87-69 on Saturday night. Krofdorf dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to ALBA Berlin's 32. Krofdorf forced 23 ALBA Berlin turnovers and outrebounded them 39-26 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. ALBA Berlin's coach Moritz Schaefer let to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Krofdorf (2-4) moved-up to seventh place in North, which they share with BG 89 Avides and Neuss. ALBA Berlin lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Krofdorf's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Giessen Krofdorf.
