Regular Season Round 8: Stuttgart - Saarlouis/Dillingen 88-91

The most shocking disappointment of round 8 was only three-point a home defeat of 3rd ranked Stuttgart (4-3) to fourth ranked Saarlouis/Dillingen (5-2) 91-88. Saarlouis/Dillingen forced 21 Stuttgart turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Saarlouis/Dillingen looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Stuttgart helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of center Alexander Diederich (204-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds and naturalized American swingman Xavier Williams (190-91, college: Holy Family) who added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Five Saarlouis/Dillingen players scored in double figures. American power forward Nick Mosley (203-88, college: Tarleton St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Jose Tejada-Munoz (183-89) scored 22 points and 6 assists. Saarlouis/Dillingen have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in South-West, which they share with Tuebingen II. Stuttgart at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Giessen and Karlsruhe SC. Saarlouis/Dillingen is looking forward to face Karlsruhe SC (#6) at home in the next round. Stuttgart will play against Tuebingen II and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
