Regular Season Round 6: Szedeak - Alba 68-97
Date: November 3, 2018
Rather predictable result in Szekesfehervar where sixth ranked Alba (4-2) smashed 10th ranked Szedeak (2-4) 97-68 on Saturday. Alba dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Szedeak's 36. They outrebounded Szedeak 37-25 including 29 on the offensive glass. Alba looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Szedeak's players. The former international power forward Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Jordan Heath (208-91, college: Canisius, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Alba players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Adam Wirth (191-93) with 14 points and Serbian guard Marko Boltic (193-87, agency: 011 Sports) scored 8 points and 5 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alba have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kormend and ZTE KK. Loser Szedeak dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost. Alba will have a break next round. Szedeak will play on the road against the league's leader PVSK-Veolia (#1) in Pecs and hope to win that game.
