Regular Season Round 8: Ternopil-TNEU - Ch.Mavpy 2 92-55

Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Ch.Mavpy 2 (1-4) was rolled over on the road by second ranked Ternopil-TNEU (6-1) 92-55 on Saturday. The game without a history. Ternopil-TNEU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ternopil-TNEU forced 20 Ch.Mavpy 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 58-24 including a 27-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ternopil-TNEU looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Ch.Mavpy 2's players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Mykyta Naiko (197-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Maxym Vorobjov (193-91) who added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Five Ternopil-TNEU players scored in double figures. Coach Dmitry Zabirchenko's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Kiril Panfilov (195-98) responded with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Sergiy Melnyk (190-1) scored 20 points. Ternopil-TNEU have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with KDPU and Prometey. Loser Ch.Mavpy 2 dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. Ternopil-TNEU will face again Ch.Mavpy 2 (#9) in Cherkasy in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
