Regular Season Round 8: Prometey - SumDU 93-55

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Prometey as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Prometey smashed 8th ranked SumDU in Kamianske 93-55. The game without a history. Prometey led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to SumDU's 24. Prometey forced 29 SumDU turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by SumDU's players. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Andriy Kulish (204-92) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds and forward Igor Krivtsov (201-86) who added 9 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Four Prometey players scored in double figures. Prometey's coach Dmitry Markov felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vitaliy Ignatchenko (188-91) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Igor Kryvych (198-78) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Prometey have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Ternopil-TNEU and KDPU. SumDU lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. They share the position with Kremen. SumDU will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Prometey will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked SumDU in Sumy.
