Regular Season Round 6: Furstenfeld - Kapfenberg 60-87

Bottom-ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (0-6) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to eighth ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (2-3) 87-60 on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Kapfenberg Bulls. Furstenfeld Panthers managed to win fourth quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kapfenberg Bulls made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Darien Nelson-Henry (211-94, college: Pennsylvania) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The other American import guard Elijah Wilson (193-94, college: Co.Carolina, agency: Mansfield and Associates) chipped in 21 points. Four Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. Kapfenberg Bulls' coach Michael Coffin felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian Mario Spaleta (209-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and Croatian Marko Car (188-85) added 12 points and 7 assists respectively. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Klosterneuburg. Loser Furstenfeld Panthers still closes the standings with six games lost. Kapfenberg Bulls will meet higher ranked Gunners Oberwart (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Furstenfeld Panthers will play against UBSC Graz (#8) and hope to get finally their first victory.
