Date: November 4, 2018
A very interesting game took place in Troyan. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Shumen (1-2) to fourth ranked Chavdar (1-2) 104-102 in the fight for the third place. Chavdar made 29-of-34 charity shots (85.3 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Shumen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for power forward Danail Hristov (195-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds. Mihail Tanev (200-90) contributed with 31 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Anton Dikov (190-94) replied with 28 points and Nikolay Lekov (193-98) added 23 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Shumen. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shumen's coach zvonko Papak rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chavdar left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Shumen. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
