Regular Season Round 9: KDPU - Kharkivski Sokoly 78-81

Important game to mention about took place in Kryvyi Rih. Fifth ranked Kharkivski Sokoly (5-1) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging second-best KDPU (6-2) 81-78 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of KDPU. The guests were ahead by 6 points but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 27-19 run, which allowed them to win the game. Kharkivski Sokoly players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. It was a good game for guard Yaroslav Udodenko (187-87) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Vladislav Cheverdin (202-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Sergey Startsev (190-97) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 assists and center Valeriy Anisimov (210-90) added 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for KDPU. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kharkivski Sokoly moved-up to third place, which they share with Niko-Basket. Newly promoted KDPU keeps the second position with two games lost. Kharkivski Sokoly will play against league's leader Prometey in Kamianske in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KDPU will have a break next round.
