Very important is a home loss of first ranked Istanbul Uni (0-5) against sixth ranked Izmit (3-2) on Sunday night. Host Istanbul Uni was crushed by Izmit in Istanbul 80-57. Izmit looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by the former international point guard Gizem Yavuz (170-88) who had that evening a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists and American Bernice Mosby (186-84, college: Baylor) supported her with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Izmit players scored in double figures. Even 12 points by international center Ilayda Guner (186-99, agency: FlyBasketball) did not help to save the game for Istanbul Uni. Senegalese power forward Aminata Fall (193-91, college: S.Nazarene, agency: Two Points) added 7 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Istanbul Uni's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Izmit maintains sixth position with 3-2 record. Istanbul Uni at the other side still keeps top with five games lost. They share the position with Kircicegi B.. Izmit will meet at home league's second-placed Hatay in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Istanbul Uni's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Fenerbahce.
