Regular Season Round 4: Botas - Kayseri 78-60

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Kayseri (1-4) against fourth ranked Botas (4-1) on Sunday night. Visiting Kayseri was defeated by Botas in Adana 78-60. They outrebounded Kayseri 35-22 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jewell Loyd (178-93, college: Notre Dame) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Romanian forward Claudia Cuic (182-89, agency: ProDep Management) who added 22 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Botas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American swingman Anne-Marie Armstrong (191-91, college: Georgia, agency: LBM Management) responded with 25 points and her fellow American import guard Yvonne Anderson (170-90, college: Texas, agency: FlyBasketball) scored 15 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Botas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Besiktas and Fenerbahce. Kayseri lost fourth consecutive game. They still keep top position with four games lost. They share it with Adana Basket. Botas will play against Canik Belediye (#10) in Samsun in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kayseri will play at home against the league's leader Adana Basket (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
