Very important is a road loss of third ranked Acibadem (3-2) against eighth ranked Sakarya BSB (3-2) on Sunday night. Visiting Acibadem was defeated by Sakarya BSB in Sakarya 84-71. Cameroonian center Landry Nnoko (208-94, college: Clemson) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. DR Congolese forward Junior Etou (203-94, college: Tulsa) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Spanish point guard Joaquin Colom (188-88, college: Forca Lleida, agency: Interperformances) answered with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and American swingman Chris Babb (195-90, college: Iowa St.) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Acibadem. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sakarya BSB. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Acibadem. Sakarya BSB will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Acibadem's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Fenerbahce.
