Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Till Gloger (204-93, college: Maine) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Gladiators' coach Christian Held allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Orlando Parker (203-91, college: Wagner) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Filmore Beck (190-91) scored 21 points (on 7-of-7 shooting from the field). Gladiators maintains third position with 6-2 record behind leader Chemnitz. Lions at the other side dropped to the fourteenth place with six games lost. Gladiators will play against Walter Tigers (#13) in Tuebingen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lions will play on the road against Schalke and hope to get back on the winning track.
