Regular Season Round 9: Targu Secuiesc - Alexandria 64-41

Bottom-ranked Alexandria is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to fourth ranked Targu Secuiesc (3-3) 64-41 on Thursday evening. Targu Secuiesc dominated on the defensive end, holding Alexandria to just 6 points in third quarter. Targu Secuiesc forced 23 Alexandria turnovers. It was a good game for American forward Kayla Mobley (180-90, college: Clayton St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Iringo Debreczi (183-96) contributed with 7 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Paloma Cucu answered with 14 points and 5 steals and point guard Mihaela Mihai (169-90) added 6 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Alexandria. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Targu Secuiesc moved-up to third place in Nationala. Loser Alexandria still closes the standings with five games lost. Targu Secuiesc will face league's leader Phoenix Constanta on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Alexandria will play against Agronomia (#6) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
