Regular Season Round 8: Hanau - Rostock 73-75

A very close game took place in Hanau between Rostock and White Wings. Fourth ranked Rostock (5-3) got a very close victory on the road over 16th ranked White Wings (1-7). Rostock managed to escape with a 2-point win 75-73 on Friday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The winners were led by Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) who scored that evening 27 points and 5 steals and American guard Terrell Harris (191-93, college: Georgia Coll., agency: Players Group) supported him with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Rostock's coach Milan Skobalj used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 17 points and 8 rebounds by center Kalidou Diouf (206-94, college: Cal.Baptist) did not help to save the game for White Wings. American forward Dorian Pinson (196-96, college: Lincoln Memorial) added 18 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Four White Wings players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Rostock maintains fourth position with 5-3 record. White Wings lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Rostock will meet at home Nuernberg (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. White Wings will play against Ehingen/Urspringschule (#11) in Allmendingen and hope to win that game.
