Regular Season Round 11: Neptunas-Akv. - Silute 79-95

There was a minor upset in Klaipeda where 5th ranked Neptunas-Akv. (6-4) was defeated by seventh ranked Silute (6-5) 95-79. It was a great shooting night for Silute especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for international Andrius Globys (198-95) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American forward RJ McGhee (198, college: Oklahoma City) accounted for 14 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Five Silute players scored in double figures. Tadas Pazera (194-98) came up with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Deividas Anuzis (182-92) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Neptunas-Akv. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Silute moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Delikatesas and Perlas. Neptunas-Akv. at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Silute's next round opponent will be higher ranked Zalgiris II (#4) in Kaunas and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Neptunas-Akv. will play on the road against Ereliai Mazeikiai and hope to win that game.
