There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Buyukcekmece (3-3) lost on the road to ninth ranked Gaziantep (3-3) 76-60. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian point guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas (188-89, agency: Players Group) who scored 21 points and 4 assists. American-Guyanese forward Delroy James (203-87, college: Rhode Island) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Gaziantep's coach Nenad Markovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Devin Williams (206-94, college: W.Virginia) who recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) added 14 points respectively. Gaziantep moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Buyukcekmece. Gaziantep's next round opponent will be higher ranked Besiktas (#4) in Istanbul and it may be quite challenging game.
