Regular Season Round 7: Medias - Constanta 90-82

The game between Top Four teams took place in Medias. Second ranked host Medias (3-1) defeated 3rd placed Constanta (1-4) 90-82. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a great shooting night for Medias especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Serbian Andrija Simovic (203-95) fired 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Kareem Storey (183-92, college: Morehead St.) chipped in 21 points. Medias' coach Mihai Popa used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Deondre Ray (196, college: Cameron) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and Swedish forward Samuel Berkelund (202-97) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Medias and four Constanta players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Medias maintains second place with 3-1 record having five points less than leader Voluntari. Constanta at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the third position with four games lost. Medias will meet league's leader Voluntari in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Constanta will play against Braila and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
