Regular Season Round 7: Timberwolves - Gmunden 63-70
Date: November 10, 2018
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Vienna. Second ranked Gmunden Swans faced 4th placed Timberwolves. Guests from Gmunden (6-1) defeated host Timberwolves (3-4) 70-63. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Devin White (203-88, college: SUNO) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. International forward Enis Murati (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Gmunden Swans players scored in double figures. Croatian guard Petar Cosic (183-85, agency: Interperformances) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and Serbian center Marko Kolaric (213-84, college: Chaminade) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Timberwolves in the defeat. Timberwolves' coach Hubert Schmidt rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gmunden Swans used an opportunity after Arkadia lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Newly promoted Timberwolves dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. Gmunden Swans' next round opponent will be Gunners Oberwart (#3) at home, which may be the game of the day. Timberwolves will play against Raiffeisen Flyers Wels and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
