Very important is a home loss of third ranked Gunners Oberwart (4-3) against sixth ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (3-3) on Saturday night. Host Gunners Oberwart was defeated by Kapfenberg Bulls in Oberwart 83-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gunners Oberwart. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Kapfenberg Bulls's pressure prevailed and they won that period 24-17 extending their advantage to 14 points. It was a great evening for American guard Elijah Wilson (193-94, college: Co.Carolina, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points. Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (190-92) helped adding 17 points and 6 assists. Four Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Hayden Lescault (196-92, college: Point Loma) responded with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and British center Chris Tawiah (207-93, college: Wiley) scored 8 points and 13 rebounds. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Klosterneuburg. Loser Gunners Oberwart keeps the third position with three games lost. Kapfenberg Bulls will meet at home UBSC Graz (#6) in the next round. Gunners Oberwart will play against the league's second-placed Gmunden Swans and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
