Regular Season Round 6: Tofas - Banvit BK 88-83

Date: November 10, 2018
Bottom-ranked Banvit is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to second ranked Tofas (5-1) 88-83. They made 21-of-22 charity shots (95.5 percent) during the game. Tofas players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Banvit was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Cameroonian forward Kenny Kadji (211-88, college: Miami, FL) scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Diante Garrett (193-88, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Five Tofas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Devin Oliver (204-92, college: Dayton) with 25 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and his fellow American import center Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Banvit's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tofas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 5-1 record behind leader Fenerbahce. Banvit at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Tofas will play against Sakarya BSB (#5) on the road in the next round. Banvit will play against Pinar Karsiyaka (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
