Regular Season Round 9: TSV Troester - Leitershofen 86-91

Everything went according to plan in Breitenguessbach where first ranked Topstar (7-1) won against 6th ranked TSV Troester (4-4) 91-86 on Saturday. Topstar made 28-of-36 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. TSV Troester was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American point guard CJ Carr (173-95, college: Missouri So.) who scored 32 points and 4 assists. Bernhard Benke (206-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Erik Land (205-90) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and guard Alexander Engel (191-93) added 20 points respectively. Four TSV Troester players scored in double figures. TSV Troester's coach Johannes Laub tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Topstar. They maintain first place in South-East with 7-1 record, which they share with Oberhaching. TSV Troester lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with four games lost. Topstar will face Muenchen OSB (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TSV Troester will play against Bad Aibling (#12) and hope to win that game.
