The game in Prienai was also quite interesting. Third ranked Rytas (7-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Prienu Skycop (4-6). Rytas defeated Prienu Skycop 81-71 on Saturday. The game without a history. Rytas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. International Arnas Butkevicius (197-92) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international power forward Martynas Echodas (206-97) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international guard Martynas Gecevicius (193-88) responded with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international center Darjus Lavrinovic (212-79) scored 12 points. Prienu Skycop's coach Virginijus Seskus rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rytas maintains third position with 7-2 record having just three points less than leader Neptunas. Loser Prienu Skycop dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. Rytas will face league's leader Neptunas in Klaipeda in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Prienu Skycop will play on the road against Juventus (#8) in Utena and hope to win that game.
