Regular Season Round 8: Muenster - Oldenburg 73-68

There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Oldenburg (3-5) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Muenster (3-5) 73-68 on Saturday. Muenster forced 19 Oldenburg turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American-British center Malcolm Delpeche (204-95, college: Bates) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Jojo Cooper (183-95, college: Wagner) who added 6 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Delpeche is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Muenster players scored in double figures. The former international Philip Zwiener (201-85) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized Bosnian point guard Robert Drijencic (194-96) scored 16 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Muenster moved-up to seventh place in North, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Oldenburg. Oldenburg lost third consecutive game. Muenster will face higher ranked SG Schwelmer Baskets (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
