Not a big story in a game when 4th placed Dorsten (5-3) was defeated at home by leader Duesseldorf (8-0) 80-70 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Deshaun Cooper (173-91, college: NW Missouri St.) who scored 22 points and 6 assists. Naturalized Eritrean forward Jonathan Mesghna (198-89, college: Mont.St.-Billings) chipped in 17 points. Duesseldorf's coach Jonas Joenke allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Bulgarian swingman Lyuben Paskov (196-90) who recorded 15 points and 4 assists and American guard Mike Nwabuzor (188, college: N.Mexico Highlands) added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively.
