Regular Season Round 9: Ibbenbueren - Hagen BG 61-60

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Ibbenbueren (4-4) edged at home 3rd placed Hagen BG (5-3) 61-60 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was guard Omar Zemhoute (190-91) who scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Jeremy Lewis (185-86, college: St.Thomas, TX) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Worth to mention Lewis played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. At the other side the best for losing team was Bosnian guard Semir Albinovic (197-91) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Soeren Fritze (190-94) added 23 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Ibbenbueren moved-up to seventh place in West, which they share with Recklinghausen and Hagen-Haspe. Loser Hagen BG dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Ibbenbueren will face Recklinghausen (#7) at home in the next round. Hagen BG will play against Salzkotten and hope to win that game.
