Regular Season Round 7: Domzale - Celje 49-124

SKL top team - Celje (6-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Domzale (0-6) 124-49. The game without a history. Celje led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Domzale's 24. Celje forced 29 Domzale turnovers and outrebounded them 49-38 including 34 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Domzale's players. It was a great evening for international point guard Aleksandra Kroselj (170-99) who led her team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!) and 7 assists. International guard Zala Friskovec (179-99) helped adding 27 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Five Celje players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Jasmina Hatic (176-89) responded with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Vanja Tajher (178-95) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Domzale's coach Mladen Rajic gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Celje. Defending champion maintains first place with 6-0 record. Domzale lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Grosbasket. Celje will play against bottom-ranked Grosbasket (#8) in Grosuplje in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Domzale will play at home against Jezica and hopes to get finally their first victory.
