Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Sofia: Slavia (#4) and NSA (#6). Slavia (3-2) won against visiting NSA (1-4) 75-65. Slavia forced 25 NSA turnovers. Forward Ivana Nikolova (185-1) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and forward Ester Micheva (180-94) chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds. Slavia's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Maria Svetoslavova (179-93) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Maria Gencheva (185-99) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four NSA players scored in double figures. Slavia have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Septemvri 97. Loser NSA dropped to the bottom position with four games lost. They share it with Academic PL and Lokomotiv St. Z. Slavia will meet league's second-placed Montana 2003 on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. NSA will play against Lokomotiv St. Z (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
