Regular Season Round 6: Jahn Muenchen - Young Tigers 68-66

A very interesting game took place in Muenchen. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of bottom-ranked Young Tigers (0-5) to seventh ranked Jahn Muenchen (1-4) 68-66 in the fight for the seventh place. Jahn Muenchen forced 23 Young Tigers turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Jahn Muenchen brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was center Peter Pauli (205-0) who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Center Ben Ruessmann (200-1) chipped in 7 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Nils Schmitz (186-1) who recorded 15 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Mirjan Broening (180-1) added 11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Jahn Muenchen maintains seventh position in Group 4 with 1-4 record. It was Young Tigers' fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost.
