Regular Season Round 6: MBC Junior Sixers - TSV Troester 56-83

Rather predictable result when top-ranked Junior Loewen (5-0) rolled over 5th ranked Sixers (2-3) in Weissenfels 83-56 on Sunday. Junior Loewen forced 24 Sixers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for Moritz Plescher (195-0) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Elias Baggette (185-2) contributed with 9 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Junior Loewen players scored in double figures. Sven Papenfuss (200-0) replied with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Beninese Ralph Hounnou (190-2) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Sixers. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Junior Loewen have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group 3 with 5-0 record. Loser Sixers keep the fifth place with three games lost.
