Regular Season Round 7: TED Ankara - Banvit 72-81

An interesting game for Banvit (6-0) which played road game in against 4th placed TED Ankara (4-3). Leader Banvit managed to get a 9-point victory 81-72. Banvit forced 24 TED Ankara turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Alperen Sengun (205-2) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Atakan Erdek (192-1) accounted for 16 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Banvit players scored in double figures. Guard Emir Buyukhanli (197-1) came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Eren Tasci (193-1) added 13 points respectively for TED Ankara in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Banvit. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Anadolu Efes. Loser TED Ankara keeps the fourth place with three games lost. Banvit will meet at home Darussafaka (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. TED Ankara will play against Gaziantep and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
