Undefeated Arkadia Lions (6-1) recorded its first loss in Traiskirchen on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by ninth ranked Hallmann (3-4) 91-83. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Arkadia Lions. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Arkadia Lions won third quarter 25-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hallmann shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 55.9 percentage. The former international forward Florian Trmal (199-89, agency: Dynamics Global Management) fired 29 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Mustafa Hassan-Zadeh (165-96) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. International guard Benedikt Guettl (190-94) produced 26 points and American swingman Shawn Ray (194-80, college: N.C.Central) added 23 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hallmann moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Arkadia Lions at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. They share it with Gmunden. Hallmann is looking forward to face higher ranked Dukes (#5) in Klosterneuburg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Arkadia Lions will play on the road against Furstenfeld Panthers (#10) and are hoping to win this game.
