The game in Istanbul supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Turk Telekom (3-3) played at the court of sixth ranked Anadolu Efes (4-2). Anadolu Efes smashed Turk Telekom 87-59 on Sunday. They outrebounded Turk Telekom 43-22 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Anadolu Efes looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. French Adrien Moerman (202-88) notched 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic (196-94, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 12 points and 10 assists. Four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. Even 8 points and 9 rebounds by Serbian center Vladimir Stimac (210-87, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Turk Telekom. American-Israeli swingman Sylven Landesberg (198-90, college: Virginia, agency: BeoBasket) added 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anadolu Efes moved-up to third place, which they share with Besiktas. Loser Turk Telekom dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Anadolu Efes will meet Buyukcekmece (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Turk Telekom will play against Acibadem (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
