Regular Season Round 5: Bratunac - Bosna-Royal 93-80

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Bosna-Royal's (1-4) road loss to ninth ranked Bratunac (2-2) 80-93. The game was mostly controlled by Bratunac. Bosna-Royal was better in third quarter 27-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Bosna-Royal 41-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. Bratunac players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American forward Wes Alcegaire (198-94, college: Bowling Green) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points and 7 rebounds. Serbian guard Stefan Nikolic (193-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Croatian Arijan Dosen (188-96) answered with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) and American guard Michael Mallory (185-94, college: S.Connecticut) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Bosna-Royal. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bratunac moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Zrinjski HT and Vogosca. Bosna-Royal at the other side keeps the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Gradina S.. Bratunac will play against league's second-placed Siroki Primorka in Siroki Brijeg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bosna-Royal's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sarajevo Vogosca.
